Guys and Dolls Dance Studio Guestbook

Hi Laura,
Just wanted to say that way back when, I knew your mom. I was a young kid, the only boy really, at Guys and Dolls in around 79-81 I'd say from the old photos I have of me in sequins and Mork suspenders! I remember a guy named Chuck who was the resident expert...when I was in high school he worked at the old Arby's downtown. Anyway, I was part of the sort of advanced class that travelled around performing every once in a while. Chautauqua Mall, JHS, the old 2001 club in the plaza near the mall in Lakewood, a number of places I can't even remember, and even once at a high school (might have been Frewsburg) where we got gonged in the Gong Show competition in like 3 seconds! The last gasp of disco line dancing I guess. My mom Holly actually made some of our group's costumes.Anyway, if you'd like I can send a few of the old pics. They still bring back great memories.Your mom was just amazing to me, and I've never forgotten her. Glad to see you are continuing the legacy.

I read the excellent article about you written by Beth Peyton (Jamestown Gazette, May 9.) Alas cannot get to your Party this evening, but I am there in spirit. Thank you for inviting us all to such a wonderful event.

I met you and your Mom many years ago and never forgot you. I think you are the most beautiful mother/daughter team ever. I know she is there with you tonight as you celebrate your glorious and still shining creation--
Guys and Dolls Dance Studio.

Congratulations on honoring everything your mother lived for, through dancing for joy and giving others the confidence to dance for joy with you.

May God bless you and your tender golden heart,

Deborah Hall

I just spoke with Laura earlier today, very fun conversation learning about her families history as owners of the dance studio. I am excited that I was able to help her with the 55th anniversary party upcoming in May. It sounds like it will be a great time, enjoy and here is to many more!

Laura is a wonderful individual - passionate about the legacy of her business and carrying on her mother's vision of a dance studio that breaks boundaries and helps others grow in character through dance and the people you meet while there!
When I was a pre-teen, I auditioned and performed in Guys and Dolls as my very first musical. I danced and sang and it was one of the most memorable experiences of my young life! I continued to dance for another 13 years after that and pursue a career in music performance as well, in part because of that amazing experience! Go dance! Now!
